Call for Expression of Interest - MSME Accelerator Program

Opportunity Bank (U) Ltd in partnership with Opportunity International is collaborating with the Federation of Small and Medium-Enterprises and the SME Academy with support from Argidius Foundation to implement an MSME Accelerator Program. The program is aimed at accelerating the growth and impact of 2,820 Micro, Small and Medium-sized Enterprises, in order to create sustainable jobs and employment opportunities. Special attention shall be given to Youth, Women, Persons with Disabilities, Refugees and host communities. The beneficiary MSMEs will be selected from the following districts: Kampala, Mukono, Jinja, Masaka, Soroti, Lira, Mubende, and Hoima. They will be benefit through accessing diverse business development service options such as: business training, mentoring/coaching, market linkages and networking. Additionally, eligible MSMEs shall have access to tailored financial products and services offered by Opportunity Bank Uganda Limited.

Eligibility Criteria

1. The business must be operational in the target districts of Kampala, Mukono, Jinja, Masaka, Soroti, Lira, Mubende, and Hoima
2. The business must have an annual turnover of more than UGX 20,000,000
3. The business must have been in operation for at least 3 years
4. The owners should be willing to participate in the Accelerator for at least 1 year
5. The business owners/managers should be willing to take advantage of Opportunity Bank's tailor made financial and non-financial services.

Target Sectors

• Agribusiness, Trade/Commerce, Manufacturing, ICT, Building and construction, Healthcare, Education, Tourism-including hotels, Green sectors and other services sectors.
